Host An Out Of School Experience club At Your School / Premises

We could run your before/after/school holiday club or wraparound childcare service.

We are looking to expand The Out of School Experience ® across the UK by recruiting schools or other suitable settings where we can run our before, after and school holiday clubs in different regions.  So, if you are considering setting up an after school club, or perhaps a before, after and school holiday club at your school or other premises, then why not get in touch?

Perhaps renting your school or other premises (outside the school day) to The Out of School Experience could provide you with the solution; high quality provision for your families, whilst leaving you to run your school…oh and some much-needed rental income.

Why The Out Of School Experience Might Be The Best Choice For Your School/Premises

The Out of School Experience commenced opened the doors of its first setting in February 2001. Since then it has consistently provided sustainable clubs of the highest quality. Indeed, it has always attained the highest grade possible from Ofsted.

With a history of delivering outstanding out of school provision, we can be trusted and relied upon to operate from within your premises.

Here are just some of examples of the comments Ofsted inspectors have made, and indeed published about us:

“Partnerships with the other settings which children attend are exceptionally effective. Staff act immediately on new information, in order to complement children’s learning in other settings. They provide frequent updates on children’s achievements to promote continuity of practice.”

“Procedures to recruit and induct new staff into the setting are highly robust. There are exceptionally rigorous systems to bring about continuous improvement in staff practice, including the identification of their training needs.”

“Risk is exceptionally well managed, with children contributing to assessments as part of their learning about staying safe. Parents regularly communicate with staff about their children’s needs and experiences and provide detailed initial information when they join. The views of parents are sought frequently, along with those of a wide range of other professionals who have links with the setting, as part of the highly successful drive for continuous improvement.”

“Staff place children at the heart of everything they do. As a result, children benefit from stimulating activities that spark their curiosity and ignite their interests.”

“The managers and staff work incredibly hard to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a result, children are extremely settled and secure. Equal opportunities are rigorously promoted.”

“Managers and staff continually strive for excellence so that children thoroughly enjoy their time at the club.”

“Staff provide a rich and varied range of activities, using the wealth of information they obtain about children’s achievements, interests and needs. Children’s views and ideas are continually sought to help provide a vibrant, stimulating environment that complements their learning in other settings.”

“Staff act as exemplary role models, which contributes to children demonstrating excellent behaviour and manners.”

“Highly effective partnerships with parents and local schools provide a thoroughly united approach to meeting individual children’s needs, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, extending their learning and helping them to develop a vast range of relevant skills for the future.”

“Children thoroughly enjoy their time at the club. They are well cared for and their emotional well-being and healthy lifestyles are effectively promoted. Consequently, they behave very well, eat healthily and feel safe and secure.”

“Staff give the highest priority to ensure that all children are safeguarded. They are fully aware of their individual responsibilities to protect children from harm.”

Types of Premises Suitable for Out of School Experience Clubs

Over the years The Out of School Experience Clubs have operated from a wide range of settings, from tiny country primary schools, large schools, churches, village halls, community centres and dedicated, sole use premises. In each we have worked co-operatively and successfully.

In order to comply with all of our legal requirements our requirements are:

  • Secure premises

  • Storage for 8 large boxes containing our continuous provision areas (we know this can be a tricky one, so let’s chat through potential solutions…even explore providing a shed)

  • Suitable toilet and hand wash facilities (1 for every 10 children)

  • Access to a kitchen for snack preparation

  • Secure outdoor play opportunities

  • Space for a lockable cabinet for confidential documentation

  • Carparking for parents who are collecting/dropping their children

  • At least one permanent notice board where parents enter the premises is preferable but not essential.
